Custom Blue Wedding Invitations with Watercolor Venue Artwork

Custom blue wedding invitations can feel classic, modern, bold, or soft. For this suite, we mixed a little of each. Bright blue makes a statement on the outside. Soft blue and white keep the pieces inside light and fresh.

The full suite includes custom watercolor art, a blue lattice gatefold, a tassel, and playful paper shapes. Each detail adds something different. Together, they create a design that feels layered and personal.

Custom Blue Wedding Invitations with a Lattice Gatefold

The blue lattice gatefold is one of my favorite parts of this suite. Its cut pattern creates a bold first look. It also gives guests a small peek at the invitation inside.

A tiny tassel closes the gatefold and adds texture. I especially love the contrast when the gatefold opens. The bright blue outside gives way to softer blue and white pieces inside.

It feels special without feeling overdone.

Watercolor Venue Artwork

We also created watercolor art of the wedding venue. This made the design feel personal to the couple and their wedding.

The watercolor appears in several parts of the suite. It adds a soft detail next to the bold lattice pattern. It also ties the separate pieces together without making them all look the same.

Custom artwork is a great way to bring a real place into wedding stationery. It can be subtle while still making the design feel unique.

Adding Shape and Layers

We used an oval details card to add another shape to the stack. That small change makes a big difference. It breaks up the straight edges and creates a more interesting layered look.

This is what I love about custom wedding invitations. We can look at every part of the suite together. Color, paper, artwork, type, shape, and small details all play a role.

There does not need to be one big statement on every piece. Sometimes the mix of smaller details is what makes the full suite work.

Blue Wedding Menus and Day-of Stationery

The design also carried into the wedding day. Custom menus used the same blue and white palette as the invitations.

Day-of stationery does not need to match the invitation suite exactly. I prefer to repeat just a few details. A color, type style, shape, or piece of artwork can create a clear link between the two.

The result feels connected from the invitations to the wedding day, without making every piece feel the same.
